Brescia
Brescia is an Italian city in what is commonly referred to as the Lombardy region. Brescia is the kind of Italian city that you walk through while touching historic monuments. You can lay your hands on the city walls or the ruins of the Capitoline Temple and read in your Brescia guidebook about the exploits of Constantine and also the Visigoths. As you are standing on the balcony of your Brescia hotel – perhaps you were fortunate enough to reserve a room at the Alberghi Brescia Hotel - Brescia will show itself in its best light. You will be able to drink in the warm air, the slight evening breeze, and see the azure blue sky above the castle that towers above the city. Brescia is city that has a rich history but also a rich present. While Milan is the big draw, the tourist industry is picking up around Brescia as well. There are the Duomo Vecchio and Duomo Nuovo, where the latter refers to the year 1510. The aforementioned Capitoline Temple has been dated back to the year 73 CE, but if old cathedrals and temple hold precious little attraction for you, then perhaps race cars are more to your liking. If you find yourself in the city around the month of May, the Mille Miglia takes place. Make sure you reserve your room at the Alberghi Brescia well in advance, since the hotels in Brescia are bound to be filled with the attendees as well as the racers and their entourages. |

Articoli Industriali, Brescia is devoted to providing the racers and anyone else who may be looking for performance parts for their motorized contraptions with top of the line parts. Articoli Tecnici, Brescia takes care of the welding needs, and if you have ever been around race cars and their drivers, you just know that there is good business to be had around both.
When you find yourself back in your room at one of Brescia’s hotels, you will want to kick back, drink a glass of dark, deep red wine, and toast to Brescia, Italy, and a feeling of belonging that can only come from facing history and being able to walk away from it with a deeper feeling of connectivity to the lives, loves, and ambitions of generations gone by. On a side note, if you ever see an advertisement for Brescia University, do not automatically assume that it is located in the Lombardy region. Instead, the odds are good that you have heard about the institution of higher learning located in Owensboro, Kentucky. |
