Georgia (GA)
If you live in Georgia (GA), then you are quite familiar with the reputation of hospitality that the Peach State has enjoyed over the decades. Sharing the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, this wonderful state is home of the Georgia Aquarium where children and adults alike are awed by the many varieties of marine animals are on display. Georgia is known for the cotton and tobacco crops it produces and exports, and the high humidity often gives rise to amazingly bountiful harvests. While the state is most conscious of its many historical treasures, if you find yourself near Savannah, Georgia, you are undoubtedly familiar with the Fort Pulaski National Monument which dates back to the time of the Civil War. |

Yet if you were able to travel through Georgia (GA) for one day on unlimited funds – perhaps you won the Georgia lottery – where would you go and what would you do? A map of Georgia shows so many special areas that are worth a visit, such as the Trail of Tears Monument but also the scenic Cumberland Island National Seashore preserve which requires special access by boat. Of course, no trip to the state of Georgia is complete without a visit to one of the many military sites that distinguish this great state. Fort Benning is well known and many civilians like the idea of at least taking photos of the installation, while less travel is experienced to Hunter Army Airfield.
Of course, if you had unlimited funds, you might actually consider moving to Georgia (GA), or at least sending your children to be educated there. The colleges and also universities are world famous – after all, who has not heard of Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia and Georgia State University, Georgia Southern University, and the ever famous Emory University which is affiliated with the Methodist church and home of the well known Emory Law School and the Oxford College. Sports aficionados know about the Georgia Dome while political junkies have been known to take pictures of the offices of the Georgia department of labor’s building, the Georgia secretary of state’s office, and the dreaded Georgia department of corrections facilities such as the Dodge Boot Camp or Rogers State Prison. Other visitors to Georgia (GA) like to see the sights that specific cities have to offers, such as Savannah.
