Long Beach
Long Beach is a city in Southern California that is home to a great deal of tourist attractions and destinations, many of which bring a lot of the business of tourism into Southern California at once.

Whether you are a native to Southern California or you are just visiting, there is a great deal to do and see in the city of Long Beach. The Queen Mary is one of Long Beach’s most popular tourist attractions; the ship herself used to be active until it was retired and turned into a type of hotel or convention center. Halloween parties and celebrations of other holidays are thrown at various times throughout the year, although many of the people in Long Beach claim that the reason why the Queen Mary has been parked so long is because the ship is haunted; these claims are based on many stories but of course these claims have not been backed up by any firm data so the claims have been refuted thus far.

Long Beach is also home to the infamous Aquarium of the Pacific, one of the most infamous aquariums in the Southern California area. The Aquarium of the Pacific is home to one of the most varied collections of underwater wildlife in the United States. Different kinds of fish, sea turtles, and underwater wildlife are on display year round. If you are at all interested in marine biology and the types of animals that live in the Ocean, especially the Pacific Ocean, the Aquarium of the Pacific is one of your must have tourist destinations in Southern California, Los Angeles County and Long Beach in particular.

In addition to the many tourist attractions in the area, Long Beach is full of the doldrums of everyday city life as well. It is home to Long Beach Community College, of course, where local students go to take advantage of the education they have to offer. There is Long Beach real estate available, but a two bedroom condo goes for a lot more than real estate in other areas; Southern California real estate is a great deal more expensive than real estate in other parts of the state and the United States as well.
