Memphis is the largest city in the state of Tennessee and it is on the list of the top 20 largest cities in the entire United States. As far as metropolitan areas go in the state of Tennessee, Memphis is not the largest but it is the second largest, running a close second to the ever popular and legendary Nashville, Tennessee. Memphis is definitely a large center of culture and art in the state of Tennessee, with a plethora of museums and cultural centers situated in the area. In addition, Tennessee is home to a rather extensive parks and recreation system, of which the city is infamous for. Memphis in May is a beautiful thing indeed; many Memphis visitors take that time to visit the Memphis Zoo. The airport in Memphis is simply packed with tourists during the months of May, June, and July as people come down south to celebrate the summer in one of the most beautiful southern states. Don’t miss out on everything that Memphis has to offer; every city has some type of bad hype and apparently Memphis has its share of it, but it is just true that the city of Memphis has the same shares of ups and downs that many other cities share.
