Nevada (NV)
Nevada (NV) is a bit of an odd state. While the Sagebrush State has gained worldwide notoriety for becoming the gambling Mecca of the United States, it also is increasingly more and more popular with certain sectors of industry. Another interesting aspect of the Nevada (NV) dichotomy is the fact that while prostitution is widely legalized, the state seems to be almost prudish when it comes to the antics of its citizens.

Case in point is the former Miss Nevada, Katie Rees. Miss Nevada is the title received when winning the title in the state sponsored pageant that is held in Las Vegas. The former Miss Nevada USA, Katie Rees, won the title fair and square in October of 2006 yet had to step aside and give back her crown in December of the same year for behavior allegedly unbecoming a title holder of the pageant. Without going into the gory details of the Miss Nevada pictures that suddenly showed up on the Internet and undoubtedly in Donald Trump’s inbox, suffice it to say that these were not the kind of Miss Nevada photos which Ms. Rees would consider sending to granny. What makes the whole case so surprising is the fact that Nevada (NV) on the one hand is so carefree and open-minded, yet on the other hand almost prudishly set in its ways.

At the same time that the Miss Nevada USA pageant scandal is rocking the state of Nevada, Nevada computer repair businesses are increasing in popularity and quantity. It appears as though Nevada (NV) is the new Mecca for all things computer, and there seem to be new businesses popping up almost overnight! If one may believe the Nevada secretary of state, the electronics boom is due to the fact that each hotel and casino has numerous one-armed bandits onboard which make it next to impossible to not need some computer repair service at one point or another.

All in all, Nevada (NV) is most fascinating state. While the Ms. Nevada scandal rocked Southern Nevada, Clark County Nevada sees an influx of businesses that cater specifically to the casino machine repair trade. At the same time while the State of Nevada okays prostitution, the Nevada DMV revokes driver’s licenses in alarming number because of drug use. There are truly so many different facets to the Silver State that it makes this state just a little different from all the rest.
