Washington
Washington is a state in the United States, positioned right in the top left corner of the United States map. The capital of Washington is Seattle, which also happens to be the single largest city in that entire northwest portion of the United States of America, definitely an impressive attribute to the state. A great deal of the business in Washington goes down in Seattle, as that is the seat of the governor and all other political aspects of Washington State. Many people do not realize that there is a difference between Washington D.C. and the state of Washington. Washington D.C. is home to all of the politics that are of any importance when it comes to US policy. Washington D.C. is home to the Washington Monument, George Washington University, the Washington Post, and the March on Washington. The President of the United States and the White House are in this Washington, whereas the governor of the state of Washington, the Washington State Lottery, the Washington Redskins and the Washington State ferry are all attributes of the state of Washington. |

Although there are two major differences between the state of Washington and the territory of Washington located in the District of Columbia, both of these locations are the namesake of the very first president of the United States, George Washington. From here gave rise to names for the Washington Post, the Washington Lottery, and the name of the state (or territory) of Washington in the first place—none of it or much else in the United States would have been possible without the very first, newbie president of the United States.
Throughout the state of Washington, weather does not remain the same. One thing is for sure all around the state, and that is that Washington is definitely one of the rainy states, as are many of the states in the Northern part of the United States. Washington D.C experiences rainy weather as well, but they also experience the four seasons unlike many of the other areas in the United States. During the winter time, traveling Washington D.C. and seeing the sights might be rather discouraging in such frigid temperatures, but ever possible and rewarding nonetheless. Both the state of Washington and Washington D.C. has a great deal to offer, but they are two completely different types of getaway. IF you like nature, go Washington State. If you like politics, go Washington D.C. |
